REVIEW – My younger son gets bloody noses when the air in his room becomes too dry. A humidifier solves the problem. Previously, we’ve used a bulky model that was loud, a pain to fill up, and sometimes it leaked. We’ve been looking for something just as effective that’s smaller and won’t keep him up at night. This ultrasonic top-fill humidifier from Asakuki checks all the boxes.
The Asakuki humidifier is a compact, cool-mist humidifier that’s straightforward and easy to use.
The Asakuki humidifier comes fully assembled. All you need to do is removed a little bit of foam packaging.
Then you just fill up the water tank, by lifting it straight up and putting it under the sink or opening the lid and pouring in water.
You can easily see the maximum fill line.
The Asakuki humidifier performs exactly as I hoped. It’s very quiet. It hasn’t leaked at all. And it has a 360-degree nozzle rotation, so I can direct it toward my son’s bed.
It’s also very easy to use. In addition to filling very easily, the controls are simple.
You just turn it to your preferred humidity level, between Max and Min. The LED light turns off when the humidifier is off. It glows blue when working. And it turns red when it runs out of water and needs refilling.
The only slightly tricky part is locating the spot for putting in essential oils, if you chose to use them. You must remove the water tank and follow the user guide to find the little place to drop in the oil. And it’s a tight spot to get the little drops of oil (easier with certain styles of droppers).
The Asakuki humidifier’s user manual indicates you should rinse out the humidifier once a week or before storing it away. And you can de-scale it by running the tank with 3 cups of distilled white vinegar for 15-20 minutes, and then soaking the float in vinegar for another 15-20 minutes.
A small soft brush is included for cleaning and descaling narrow places in the base.
The Asakuki humidifier is a small humidifier that is perfect for a small room or bedroom. It’s quiet, easy to use, and works well.
